The incremental shutter closure design permits precise control and does not interfere with diffuser air patterns. The bow tie steel shutters fan open or closed about a cast pivot. They are actuated from an opening in the diffuser using a socket wrench to rotate the pivot-head that is coupled through a flexible steel shaft.
